This session goes beyond employment law to explore the impacts harassment has on medical societies. The panel will provide practical tips for building an organizational culture that creates a safe and inclusive working environment. The panel will discuss the effect of power and bias, explore ways medical societies are responding to #MeToo, and present tips for engaging in meaningful change in the workplace.

This session will highlight recent tax law changes and the anticipated impact of tax reform on physicians and physician practices.

Litigation Center 101: Strategies and Tools for Having a Presence in the Courts  3:45 pm to 4:45 pm  |  Columbus I/J

This session will address how national and state medical societies can develop a strategy for advocacy in the courts, either in partnership with the AMA Litigation Center or independently. The panel will discuss the cases and approaches taken by several societies and outline the options available to societies pursuing legal solutions to physician issues.
